Following three triumphant sold-out shows at London\u2019s iconic Hammersmith Apollo<\/strong> last year, The Teskey Brothers <\/strong>have announced the release of their new album Live At The Hammersmith Apollo<\/strong><\/em> – out Friday July 11<\/strong> via Glassnote Records, and available to pre-order<\/strong> now. The live album is an immersive extension of the band\u2019s rich and beloved catalogue, featuring songs from their #1 ARIA Charting<\/strong> third album, The Winding Way<\/strong><\/em>, a powerful cover of Otis Redding\u2019s \u2018Try A Little Tenderness\u2019<\/strong> (out everywhere today) and for the first time on vinyl\/CD<\/strong>, one of the band\u2019s early hits, \u2018Forever You and Me\u2019 <\/strong>(150m+ streams).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“To go from playing to 30 people at The Slaughtered Lamb, to three nights at the Apollo, it’s quite a special thing. This live record, for us, really collects that experience and bottles it up in one little neat package. There\u2019s something about historical venues like Apollo where so much good energy somehow gets captured in the walls. In keeping with the band\u2019s love for analogue,\u00a0Live At The Hammersmith Apollo<\/em>\u00a0was recorded\u00a0entirely to tape<\/strong>, just as live albums by Bruce Springsteen (\u201975), David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust \u201973) and countless others would have been recorded in the same room. London-based producer\/engineer\u00a0Declan Gaffney<\/strong>\u00a0was tapped to handle the technical side, having previously engineered and mixed live albums for\u00a0U2<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0The Rolling Stones<\/strong>. Gaffney set up a makeshift studio behind the stage curtain where the tape rolled through a StuderA80 borrowed from the famous\u00a0Metropolis Studios<\/strong>\u00a0just down the road. Nostalgia aside, the record is above all an ode to the brothers\u2019 famed chemistry and dynamics onstage, bolstered by band members\u00a0Olaf Scott<\/strong>\u00a0(keys),\u00a0Fabian Hunter<\/strong>\u00a0(bass),\u00a0Audrey Powne<\/strong>\u00a0(trumpet),\u00a0Nick Lawrence\u00a0<\/strong>(drums) and\u00a0Lily Shaw<\/strong>\u00a0(sax), who have all been touring with The Teskey Brothers<\/a> since 2023.

Live At The Hammersmith Apollo<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>is The Teskey Brothers\u2019\u00a0sixth album<\/strong>. Most recent release\u00a0The Winding Way<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0debuted at\u00a0#1 on the ARIA Chart<\/strong>, won\u00a0Best Blues & Roots Album<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a02023 ARIA Awards<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Best Record of 2023\u00a0<\/strong>at the\u00a0Rolling Stone Awards<\/strong>.
